What we have been learning…

What an exciting and busy Autumn term we’ve had!
The children have been occupied with studying human and physical
geography, rocks, soils, and the Stone Age. Along with investigating
natural colours and charcoal in art, we have learned how to make some
amazing pillows in D&T using running and cross stitch.
In PE, the children have had fun utilising the wall bars and showcasing
their dance skills. We had fun studying the words to “Let’s Harvest” and
joining the rest of the school for a performance in the church.
This week, we have been learning about friction by investigating how
different surfaces affect the distance an object can travel. The children set
up their equipment and chose which materials to test. We also sorted a
range of objects based on their magnetic properties.
Among the topics we will cover next term are the human skeleton,
pneumatic systems, and the Romans.
