Class 5D - Mrs Dines!
In science, class 5D have been learning about Forces. We carried out an investigation to find out which factors affected how quickly a spinner falls. We found out that the bigger the surface area, the slower an object falls. Next, we investigated whether friction slows down moving objects. In order to do this, we timed how quickly toy cars travelled on ramps covered in different surfaces. Most of us discovered that the cars travelled fastest on a smooth surface – can you explain why this is?
