Notes from the class

What we have been learning...

This term we have been studying the Romans and to finish off our topic we made catapults. The children worked hard measuring and sawing the wood to create a sturdy base and support struts. They were very happy with their final product and tested them by seeing how far they could fire. We found out that the tighter the elastic band was the further the catapult could fire.

Next term, as part of our Under the Sea topic, we will be finding out how to live more sustainably in Spring 1. In Spring 2 we will be studying the Titanic. As part of the topic the children will be making their own sea creatures, learning how to sketch using the vanishing point, what life was like for different classes on board the Titanic and lots more!
