Spirituality

Definition

At St. Michael’s, our shared understanding of spiritual development is that:

Spiritual development is the growth of the human spirit, a spirit that cannot be seen, but is something that makes the individual precious and unique. It is essentially developing character and spirit, exploring the deep meaning of being human and responding to the experiences of life and living.

What does ‘developing character and spirit‘ look like?

Membership of the Intergenerational Community Club, a year 6 child raising money for the ‘Make a Wish’ charity by shaving her head of hair, a year 4 child sharing his medical journey and experiences of being born with a cleft palate and his ongoing fundraising for CLAPA – presenting this to all of the school, regular visits to Manor Lodge as a Dementia Friendly Hub school…and much more…..

At St Michael’s, our beliefs, values and school life reflect the teachings of the Bible.
