Curriculum Overview
Homework
In Year 3, children are set homework every Thursday. This is stuck into their purple homework book. Please ensure your child returns their homework book on the following Wednesday so it can be marked before new homework is set.
Every week, homework will involve completing a spelling quiz on Purple Mash which can be accessed through their 2Dos and logging onto Times Tables Rockstars to complete their heatmap and improve their ranking.
Alongside this, your child should be reading at home, at least 4 times per week. This can be independently or shared with a grown up. They will have a specific English, Maths or Creative task to complete as well that links to our classroom learning.
If your child is in a reading group, they will be sent home with a book on a Thursday which they will have read over the course of 3 sessions in the week. Please share this book with your child and return it to school on a Monday.
