I was born in Chelmsford and have lived here all my life. I have two grown up children and until recently had a lovely ginger tom cat – called ‘Tommy’ – not the most original name but it suited him. For all of my working life I have worked with children and their families. I have worked in Early Years, Primary and Secondary schools in either mainstream or SEND teaching or more recently in counselling children and young people. So I’m delighted to take up the baton of Pastoral Care Manager and work alongside staff – and parents and carers – to support the children with any emotional or practical barriers that hinder their learning and wellbeing.
